From the atoll of Marutea, these lustrous Tahitian pearls inspired me to create two unique necklaces, beautifully paired with blue starlight gemstones. According to ancient Polynesian legend, Tahitian pearls are tears of joy from the moon goddess Hina. The story continues and says oysters rose to the surface to catch Hina’s moonlight tears, sealing the droplets inside. Over time, the oysters formed pearls capturing the midnight colors of the cosmos-reflecting shades of peacock green, deep blue, gold, and pink.
